One of my friends in South Africa has just had a new son. He’s very sports-keen, so this seemed like an appropriate blessing for his new little one:

“May he grow to be a great landowner in South Africa,
May he live to see a free and prosperous country,
May he live to see the Springboks beat the All Blacks,
and may he have grace to accept that two out of three isn’t too bad.“
