Microsoft Office 365

Embracing Hands-Off IT with Office 365 – Meetup Session Next Tuesday

The second meeting of the Christchurch Office 365 for Business group is on next week. Last month we looked at and discussed the Office 365 offering from Microsoft; this month we are looking at the opportunity to use Office 365 to enable hands-off IT services.

The meeting is on Tuesday March 22, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Here’s the details:

Embracing Hands-Off IT with Office 365
Office 365 enables hands-off IT – that being hands-off provision of IT services plus hands-off device configuration and management. With Microsoft taking on the responsibility for providing productivity and collaboration services from the cloud, the need for IT professionals to build and maintain on-premises infrastructure is greatly reduced. And when combined with some Microsoft Azure capabilities, there is also the opportunity to reduce the amount of time and effort required to provision and manage end-user devices. Let’s talk this through – what’s offered, how it works, what’s good, what’s missing, and then assess whether this opportunity is worth pursuing.

Agenda:
– 5.30pm Registration, Coffee, Tea, Cold Drinks and Snacks
– 5.45pm Embracing Hands-Off IT. A Presentation by Michael
– 6.15pm Facilitated Discussion – Your Experiences, Questions, Observations
– 6.45pm Recent Updates on Office 365 from Microsoft
– 7.00pm Open Discussion and Networking
– 7.30pm End of Meetup
