Posterous introduced Posterous Spaces, a new online place for groups and teams.

“Whether you want to create a public blog, a private place to share family vacation photos or start a group for your classmates to stay in touch, you can create a Space for it. Adding members to your Space is a snap, and your members can participate through your Space’s eb site, their mobile device or via email.“

Features:
– Access can be moderated. A space can be open to everyone, or only to selected individuals.
– Spaces support a variety of content types – photos, videos, text, documents, etc.
– There is an iPhone client for Posterous Spaces. Note that Sachin Agarwal is the founder and CEO of Posterous, a fact which should be noted on his customer review on iTunes. It’s not, and it should be. There’s an Android app too.
