I’m presenting a session at the upcoming SharePoint Saturday in Washington DC (May 2), but doing so remotely … unfortunately I can’t attend in person.
Anyway, for local and remote attendees, there is a Charity Food Drive Contest to support local charities. Here’s the details:
“1. Donate canned food to benefit local charities.
SharePoint Saturday DC is hosting a charity food drive that will benefit local charities like the Salvation Army. You can bring your donations to SharePoint Saturday DC on May 2, 2009.2. ANYBODY can join this charity food drive contest.
You don’t have to be at SharePoint Saturday DC on May 2, 2009 to join. You can still donate and participate in the contest. Just send in your donations to the address listed on the left side of the page, email us and notify us of your donation.3. Top 20 people to donate the most canned food can spend an hour with your choice of participating SPS DC Speaker.
The way this works is that the top donor will get to pick first which SPS DC speaker they would like to spend an hour with to discuss any SharePoint topic. Once that speaker is chosen, the next winner will select the remaining available speakers, etc. In short, the more you donate, the bigger pool of speakers you can choose from. It’s up to you and the speaker to set a time that is convenient for you to meet(online, offline, etc.).4. Winners will be announced at SharePoint Saturday DC on May 2, 2009 at 6 PM (EDT).
Winners will also be announced on twitter via @SPSaturday_DC. An email will also be sent out to the winning donor to notify them of their win.“
See Dux on video explaining the food drive, and learn how you can take part.
