OpenACircle Release
OpenACircle introduced its collaborative workspace service at DEMOfall 08. “Instead of using many different solutions, each with its own password, instructions and fees, users now have all the collaboration tools they need in one place, along with all the information shared by the circle’s invited members. Almost every task is handled by just one or two clicks, making the application not only free, but easy to use as well. Users simply open a circle, invite people in and start working together. A central dashboard shows what is scheduled, who is online, who is meeting, what files have been added to the circle, and more. Online meetings and presentations can be recorded for later viewing, from multiple users’ viewpoints. Documents, recordings of meetings and chat threads can be stored in the circle for as long as the members choose.“
PlanDone Release
PlanDone introduced its project collaboration service at DEMOfall 08. Key focus: on the completion of projects. “Teams at small-medium sized businesses can quickly and easily manage their projects through to completion with PlanDone’s easy to use Web-based software. PlanDone is also mobile friendly, allowing users to manage projects on the fly with an iPhone, Blackberry or Palm device. PlanDone helps users improve communication and increase productivity by taking the guess work out of task management.“
Like the Mac vs PC ads from Apple, PlanDone offers Email vs StratAssemble. Not sure about the “StratAssemble” name … perhaps that was the old name for PlanDone.
