Our children have Chicken Pox! Daniel (6) got it first (a couple of weeks back), and now the other 6 children all have it. Take a look at this back … major ouch!

Do I need to say that there isn’t much of what one calls “sleep” happening during the hours of 10pm and 7am at the moment.

Ouch. At least you’re getting through it all at once. Still, a miserable experience.
OK, I promise not to make any Mac jokes until your family recovers and is entirely well.
I pray that will happen very soon.
Eric
It is at least a good thing to get it over and done with while they are young. I always thought it was great that my two sisters got chicken pox when I was about 13 and for whatever reason I seemed to be immune. Alas the immunity wore out about a year or so ago at age 31. Maybe I am an bit of a wimp but far out it was nasty as an adult!
Get the calamine lotion flowing but the best tip I had which really worked wonders for me was a bath with a stocking stuffed with Rolled Oats! Ah that was bliss and stopped the itching pretty well.
Thanks Eric and Adam. CP as an adult! Ouch x2!
A stocking filled with Rolled Oats heh? Never would have thought of that … will give it a go. Thanks.
Oh, dear Philip, and all the others. I’m so sorry you have turned spotty. I hope you will be feeling much better soon – if not sooner.
With love,
Granbar
So sorry you guys have the pox. Get better soon. Love, Grandad.
I hope they all recover soon and life can get back to some form of normality for you, there is nothing worse than seeing your kids suffer through illness.
Thanks all for your support. It is tough seeing kids suffer through illness; I fully agree with you on that one Stu.
M.
I hope everyone feels better soon. I know it’s not fun to be sick.

Chicken Pox were the worst. The things I’ve used were aveeno, and a crap load of callamon lotion. Other than that, it will eventually pass away.
ouch! I had it when I was a kid and didn’t get the vaccine for my daughter. she is going through that this week. we have been calling them “chicken poppers” if you scratch them they show up in the new spot that gets scratched and they can be infected easily. Aveeno baths, Benadryl, Tylenol, Gloves, frequent handwashing, and lots of prayers, the best treatment helpers.
My son (10) has chicken pox right now. His back is covered in very itchy spots. He makes his sister scratch his back when I am not looking. When my mom sees my sister scratching my back my mom said stop that right now. To day is day 3 and my son is more itchy on day 3 then day 2. His sister (8) has not had chicken pox yet. I hope she will get it soon. Do you have any evicted. I have tried everything to make my son less itchy like oatmeal bath and Calamin lotion. Nothing is helping him be less itchy.
No fun. Hope your son feels better quickly.
