That Has To Be God at Work, Oct 22

Sunday night, 9.15pm, pitch black, driving home after a day out with family, 6 sleeping children, back road that I don’t normally drive on, no street lights, and bang, the rear tire on our 12-seat Ford Transit Bus blows out (ours is exactly the same at the one above). Big noise, kids wake up, Katrina says “you’d better pull over” (no kidding).

We’d driven 100 km to get to where we had to go that day, and were 85 km into the return drive. In all of that 185 km stretch of road, I only know the people who live in one house. The tire blew out 20 meters from their driveway. They were home. They were willing to help … which was particularly helpful since (a) I had no lights to see what I was doing, and (b) there was no wheel brace in the Transit to get the tire off.

That has to be God at work, looking after us, keeping us safe in the midst of a potentially dangerous situation, and providing for our every need. I give praise to Him.
