Consilient Mobile Email Server for Academia
Consilient released a mobile email server for academic institutions, available for a single license fee across the entire institution. Enables university email servers to push email to Nokia, Sony Ericsson and BlackBerry handhelds.

“As push email moves toward mass adoption, it is hitting universities where a single deployment can involve thousands of email seats,” said Heath Peeples, System Administrator, Mississippi State University, Division of Agriculture. “Most universities run email systems such as Cyrus and University of Washington along with Microsoft, so interoperability issues can arise. A large scale mobile email rollout for universities is best achieved through open standards software. We are working with Consilient, a leader in open standards, to bring mobile email to Mississippi State University,” Peeples added.

A hosted version is available for individual departments and faculties.
