I had to share a collection of files with a client in the US today. There were about 15 files, totalling 20 MB or so. I didn’t want to email them through, so I used Box.net. I was able to drag-and-drop the files into a specific subdirectory, and then set up the client with a username (I used their email address) and password, and then sent off the instructions (URL, username, password).
My client responded:
I am so glad that you added the [files] to this site! I was starting to panic a bit and I actually set something up for you in our [content management system]. But your alternative is much better.
I was able to login and see everything without a problem.
So … a bit thank you to Box.net for making this work without a hitch for me today! Kudos.
