Today I presented the first of four sessions to SharePoint User Groups in New Zealand. The topic for each session is “User Adoption Strategies for SharePoint,” based on my recent governance report on user adoption and the new book. Today’s session was in Auckland, tomorrow is Hamilton and Tauranga, and Thursday is Wellington.
Anyhow, it was a great session today in Auckland – I really enjoyed my side of the presentation, and at least some of the attendees did too – the one’s that spoke to me afterwards that is. There were 25 seats out when I arrived, and we needed to pull in another 5 or 6 to cater for the extra attendees. While “standing room only” has a certain ring to it, I was the only one standing for the entire presentation.
My thanks to everyone who came and played an active part in the session – Janet, Jolene, Steve, Brendon, Craig, Ainslie, and Ken, to name just a few – it was great to share an hour and a bit with you each.
Thanks also to Jordan Mayer (Intergen) for organizing the session on the day (and for bringing lunch), and Cliftons Training for hosting the user group.
Now on to Hamilton … Tomorrow’s session is at 10am at AgResearch. See www.dot.net.nz for details.
