  • Microsoft Hosted Services … Microsoft is developing a suite of hosted services for business customers, such as for Exchange and SharePoint. Energizer Holdings, with 9000 users across 130 countries, is in a beta programme for such services from Microsoft. Key benefits for Energizer: (a) less hassle with staying up-to-date with the latest releases from Microsoft, and (b) more time for training. InformationWeek
  • Get IT Out of Social Networking … Rachel from IDC argues that IT should not be in charge of social networking initiatives within organizations, but rather business departments. A few examples of success in following this model are given. ComputerWorld
  • 15 Uses for Collaboration Offerings … Todd outlines 15 uses for collaboration solutions, including (3) shared space for meetings, and (15) linking critical information within and outside of the team. He’s also got a “15” list for social bookmarking and RSS, among others. Collaborage

  • Palm Takes $325m from Private Equity Firm … Palm Inc. accepted a US$325 million private equity investment, in return for a 25% stake in Palm. Palm also secured a new revolving credit facility.
