- Traction TeamPage5 for Free … Traction Software released a free 5-person and 5-project edition of TeamPage, its enterprise blog and wiki platform. “The TeamPage5 product provides the full functionality of the TeamPage Server but is limited to five login accounts and five projects (blog / wiki spaces). The license can be used for publicly facing or internal websites. Each project can be configured to allow anyone to read, comment or subscribe to RSS feeds. TeamPage5 is free for commercial or non-commercial use. - Microsoft “Tahiti” … Microsoft released some details about a forthcoming screen and document sharing tool, code-named “Tahiti”. It works with Windows Live Messenger and Office Communications Server. Aimed at users and groups that are not on the same network. Includes desktop, application and document sharing, user-aligned colors for contributions, and support for up to 15 participants per sharing session. - Funambol Study on Mobile Email … Funambol released a report on its recent 500-person study on mobile email. “Previous studies have reported that consumers want mobile email but are not willing to pay much for it. Funambol’s survey found that consumers indeed want mobile email, and that the majority is willing to pay for it, on average about $5 per month. Furthermore, many will be making the move to adopt it within the year. Consumers also indicated that they are looking for mobile email that is easy-to-use and that seamlessly interoperates with their web and PC email systems.” Registration required to get the free report. - Qtel Goes Visto … Visto announced a new telecoms customer: Qtel Telecom in the Middle East. “Qtel’s Mobile Email service provides busy mobile professionals with a choice of 27 mobile handsets with which to send and receive email on the move, access and update their desktop calendar, and search their contacts – safely and securely, and without having to make any adjustments to the corporate firewall. The new Qtel mobile email service is already available on Symbian-powered UIQ, Nokia Series 60 and Series 80 devices, and also Pocket PCs and Smartphones that use Windows Mobile, with more handsets to be launched in the near future.” Visto
