It is so neat to be able to renew friendships that I’ve made through previous jobs and projects. On Wednesday night (August 2) in Huntington Beach, Fred and Barbara Berlack drove up from their home to share dinner with me. I met Fred at Ferris Research all those years ago, and both he and Barbara have visited Christchurch and my home on one of their many international trips. It was super-neat to renew contact, to hear and see that they are doing well, and to get an update on their two adult children.
