Adoption & Effective Use

An Early Christmas Present

I have been working on my new book, Doing Business with IBM Connections, since publishing the second edition of User Adoption Strategies. The new book takes a very pragmatic and grounded approach to how business people / end users can make use of IBM Connections in the day-to-day activities they do in their organizations. One of the hopes I had for 2013 was that the book would provide an opportunity to work with organizations looking at using IBM Connections – but from the perspective of “what does it mean for our end users?,” not “what cool features / functions does this product have?”

I received an early Christmas present yesterday because one of my clients wants the workshop based on the book this side of Christmas. While that makes the next four weeks very busy, for both finishing the first draft of the core scenario chapters, and getting the workshop ready, it will mean the full workshop on the book will be delivered for the first time in 2012. I wasn’t expecting on doing that until April 2013 at the earliest … so I’m delighted (grateful, very thankful). It’s a great way to end this calendar year … a great event to happen leading up to Thanksgiving in the US this week, and will be an encouraging last event to look back on when 2013 starts.

I don’t even have the description page up for the new workshop yet …
