I’ve been in Europe for 12 days now; will be back in New Zealand in 4 days. With having to totally reverse my wake / sleep pattern due to the 12 hour time difference between where I normally live and where I’ve been working for the past few weeks, I’ve had very little sleep since getting here. Most nights I’ve lain awake for hours at a stretch … I’ll remember Europe as the place where the nights are very long!
Anyway, last night in Ireland I finally slept, and slept soundly. So, rule of thumb about changing comes into play again: time to adjust is one day per time zone crossed. That means I should be able to look forward to a good sleep in London tonight.
But then … I have to go back to New Zealand tomorrow night, and make the change all over again. So many people on this trip told me this would happen: You’ll get perfectly adjusted, and then you’ll have to go back. LOL.
