Yammer Inhouse … Yammer announced an inhouse edition of its microblogging service. “Enterprise microblogging software service provider Yammer has announced a version of their software that can be run on a company’s servers, inside the corporate firewall. The Twitter-like service intended for the workplace has had great success with the hosted version of their software and is trying to take the next step in facilitating conversations in companies and workgroups.” More

Diversity in Teams … It’s important to have diversity in teams, and to have a way of leveraging that diversity. “So, while building your social networks you should make a special effort to look for people who are different from you and actively seek to diversify the pool of people with whom you regularly communicate. By doing this you will increase two important components of a successful networker: betweenness and reach …. But having different information is only part of the equation.
