- Egnyte … Egnyte released the beta of its namesake content sharing service. It enables users to share local files and messages into a shared workspace environment, and retains versioning information. Changes made when offline are synchronized back to the Egnyte workspace when the user reconnects. - ThinkFree APIs … ThinkFree announced and released APIs for their suite of online office productivity applications. It is “a free tool that allows Web services, Web sites and blogs to post or host office documents on their servers, where their end users can launch the file and make changes from any browser. Users have come to expect that their files and applications are available anytime, anywhere. With the launch of these new APIs, ThinkFree is extending this always-available office functionality to other service providers.” Available immediately. - Google “Slides” … Google’s CEO confirmed that a PowerPoint clone will shortly be added to Google’s online office suite. Apparently it’s the combination on internally developed technology plus some capabilities from Tonic Systems. TechCrunch
