Upcoming NZKM Meeting with Jessica Lipnack

The New Zealand Knowledge Management network hosts regular lunchtime meetings with local and international speakers. Here in Christchurch next week we’re up for a real treat … Jessica Lipnack, CEO of the Boston-based consultancy firm NetAge, is speaking on virtual teams in organizations.

We live in the 21st century but often design our organizations as if we’re still in the old bureaucratic model of the 19th century. What does
it mean to work in The Age of the Network? Jessica Lipnack, co-author of many books, including the best-selling Virtual Teams, will present a new
model for distributed organisations. She will offer “three rules for far-flung teams,” talk a bit about best practices for teleconferences,
and stress keeping our focus where it belongs–on people, not just technology.
