One of the blessings of my time at Foldera was the people outside of Foldera who I got to meet that I hadn’t previously crossed paths with. One of those people was Jon Swanson (above), an associate pastor at a church in Fort Wayne IL and a blogger at the Levite Chronicles who I met through Chris Brogan (thanks Chris!). Jon and I have traded emails since Chris’s facilitatory introduction in July last year, and have had a number of phone calls too. Anyhoo, Jon was ordained as a minister in his church denomination on Sunday … and I just wanted to call out and say “Woo-hoo!”.
In Dan Ward’s book The Radical Elements of Radical Success he includes an Appendix B that speaks to the Biblical Basis of his writings as a Christian, and includes on p.179 a quote from C.S. Lewis …
… there should be “more little books by Christians on other subjects – with their Christianity latent“
In Jon’s life (as I’ve been able to observe from afar) and writings it delights me as a fellow Christian to see his Christianity showed in both latent and directive ways … and so I’m delighted for God’s kingdom, the denomination Jon is in, and the world at large that Rev. Dr. Jon Swanson stands tall as a testimony of God’s grace. Go Jon!
